Adrian Ward is an author, editor and photographer. He has written and edited several books in the fields of residential care and therapeutic communities, as well as more generally on social work and professional education. He has also contributed chapters to many other books, including a well-received chapter on the ‘English Riots’ of 2011 in Broken Bounds, a collection on the psychoanalyst Donald Winnicott’s work on the idea of the ‘anti-social tendency’. Adrian’s classic book, Leadership in Residential Child Care, was published in July 2014 by The Smokehouse Press in Norwich.
Adrian’s current interests are in literature and in the arts more generally, including music and photography. He specialises in landscape photography, and a small selection of recent black and white images can be found on the Photo pages. In music, his long-term interest is in the work of JS Bach.
